Sr. Civil Engineer – Hidi Khola Hydropower Project
Mr. Rajendra Bom is a Senior Civil Engineer with over five years of specialized experience in hydropower project construction, site management, and technical execution. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Metropolitan Institute of Technology and Management (MITM) in Mumbai, India, and has a proven track record of delivering complex hydropower components from inception to completion.
His professional expertise encompasses the full spectrum of hydropower infrastructure, including the construction of headworks (weir axis, intake, and desander), settling basins, and powerhouse structures. Mr. Bom has extensive experience in supervising headrace excavation, penstock pipe installation, and the layout of transmission lines and substations. He is well-versed in site-level operations such as river diversion, track access supervision, and geological surveying.
Mr. Bom possesses a robust technical skill set, including proficiency in AutoCAD and SWDTM for design and survey data analysis. He is experienced in preparing bar bending schedules (BBS), cost estimation, BOQ analysis, and the verification of Interim Payment Certificates (IPC). His hands-on technical capabilities include supervising reinforcement work, conducting non-destructive testing (DPT and MPT), and overseeing the installation of mechanical components like gate installations and trash rack machines.
At the Hidi Khola Hydropower Project, Mr. Bom contributes to the project’s success by managing site-level civil execution, coordinating labor and resources, and ensuring strict adherence to quality control and design specifications. Known for his strong work discipline and ability to handle complex site conditions, he plays a vital role in the technical and physical completion of the project through effective coordination and engineering expertise.
